Girls across the world have become more aware on the importance of studies. Nothing can stop them! Not even if the wedding reception is on the card. These two Nigerian has proved just that. You can definitely enjoy your wedding cake but only after writing your final exam papers. Brides Dorcas Atsea and Deborah Atoh, two final year students of Mass Communication, discovered that their wedding bells would ring on the same date as their final exam, which was earlier scheduled on February. The grand weddings were temporarily put on hold as the beautiful brides left the ceremonies in between and rushed to the final University examinations.

According to the report by CNN, the two students hastily said their “I do’s” to their grooms before heading to an exam hall because of the date clash. Dorcas Atsea and Deborah Atoh studies at the Benue State University in Nigeria’s Middle Belt region. Both fixed their wedding dates according to the earlier schedule of their final Mass Communication examinations. As the fresh dates were announced by the University, ‘Media Ethics and Law’ exam fell on the same date they decided to exchange their vows with their respective partners.

Atoh told CNN, “I went to the exam officer, she said I should choose between the two: the exam or the wedding.” They choose both, bravely! And as expected, Twitterati went on to cheer the women for their commitment to education despite obstacles.

Here are the Pictures of Brides who are happily writing their exam on their wedding gown!

Yes, they can wait!

Yes, this is wonderful.

You go girls!

This reminded us of an incident in 2016 when a bride in Sikar District of Rajasthan, India did not hesitate to make her husband wait outside the examination hall as she answered to the questions on the paper confidently. In both case, the brides made their way to their respective wedding ceremonies after writing the exam and celebrated being newlywed with their loved ones. At a time, where women willingly or not are forced to drop out as marriage is more important, such moments stand as an inspiration. With such confident brides, supportive grooms, wonderful families and non-judgemental guests, the world will be a much better place to live in.
