Social influencers have been a big hit. And YouPorn wanting to cash on this growing trend went a step ahead to launch world's first X-rated virtual influencer. They launched Jedy Vales earlier this year in May. "Jedy is the quintessential representation of the technological innovations we are known for," YouPorn vice president Charlie Hughes said in a statement, "and so she is the perfect spokesperson to represent YouPorn."

On being questioned about whether virtual porn stars are future and that they would replace human performers, Hughes said, "YouPorn doesn't claim to know the answers to all of the questions about what AI means for humanity. And we have no interest in replacing porn performers whatsoever, that was never the motivation behind this project." He further added, "In our eyes, Jedy is an early step in the next phase of technology working with humans, instead of working to replace humans and human sexuality.
