On June 23, the pooch won the title of World's Ugliest Dog at Sonoma-Marin County Fair in Petaluma, California. With a penchant for pink, her floppy tongue and crooked teeth, Zsa Zsa was the most happiest dog which captured the hearts of many. Brainard, her husband and the 15-month-old daughter, organised a special ceremony for the English bulldog. While in grief, she told Today, "I'm still in shock ... It’s kind of like when she won (the World's Ugliest Dog contest). It’s been two weeks, and I still don’t believe it. It’s probably going to be the same with her passing."

Zsa Zsa survived five years in a puppy mill, Missouri before being adopted by a family and finally winning fame and fans. Charming the judges by flaunting her imperfections, she took this year's crown of World's Ugliest Dog. After her big win, she flew from San Francisco to New York for an appearance on the Today show. The pooch's winnings included a trophy and $1,500 (over Rs. 1 lakh) cash amount that was donated to Underdog Rescue, the group that rescued Zsa Zsa. She was perfectly imperfect and would be miss by her followers. May her soul rest in peace!
