Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Charles Simic passes away at the age of 84. The American poet was well known for his singular art of lyricism and economy, tragic insight and disruptive humor. Simic's death was confirmed on Monday by executive editor Dan Halpern at Alfred A. Knopf. He was also the cuntry’s poet laureate from 2007-2008.
