In a shocking piece of news, veteran Malayalam actress Kaviyoor Ponnamma passed away on Friday (September 20). The actress was 79 at the time of her demise. The actress was hospitalised due to health problems at the hospital in Kochi. Over the past few days, her health was deteriorating to a point where doctors called her condition critical. The actress breathed her last at Lizzie Hospital in Ernakulam. Known for playing mother roles in several Malayalam films, the actress appeared in Cheengol, Kiryatan, and Abhimaanam, among others.
