A group of children playing cricket spotted the reptile and alerted the locals, who promptly informed the authorities. Videos from the scene show the crocodile tied with ropes as curious residents gathered to take pictures. Forest officials arrived after a few hours, and the crocodile was safely transferred to the local zoo. The area is near the Ganga River, where reptiles sometimes wander into residential zones during the rainy season.
