The man had sought treatment at Yashoda Super Speciality Hospital in Kaushambi, Ghaziabad. An X-ray revealed the unexpected object, which doctors successfully removed through a colonoscopy. The man, a resident of Gujarat, had been admitted to the emergency department with complaints of difficulty in bowel movements and anal pain. Further examination and questioning revealed that he had inserted a sex toy into his rectum. Initial attempts at colonoscopy were unsuccessful due to the slippery nature of the object.
