Responding to the viral video showing police brutality, Madhya Pradesh officials have confirmed that the footage from the GRP police station in Katni dates back to October 2023. The video depicts a 15-year-old boy and his elderly grandmother being violently assaulted by GRP officers, including station in-charge Aruna Vahane, inside a closed room. Following the incident’s resurgence on social media, the station in-charge has been reassigned to GRP Police Line Jabalpur.
