In a surprising turn of events, two sub-inspectors from Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad were suspended on Friday for filming multiple Instagram Reels with a property dealer. The videos, which surfaced on social media, show the officers seemingly escorting the dealer, raising concerns about their conduct. The viral videos included scenes of the dealer arriving in a luxury car on the under-construction Delhi-Dehradun highway, flanked by the uniformed officers. Another video depicted the dealer seated in his office while the officers recorded a Reel. Notably, the sub-inspectors wore their official uniforms during the filming, despite a recent directive from the UP Police restricting such activities. ACP Suryabali Maurya confirmed the suspension of trainee sub-inspectors Dharmendra and Ritesh, who were posted at Ankur Vihar in March. The property dealer, Sartaj, has been arrested, and his involvement is under investigation. Instagram Reels Craze Takes Another Life: Youth Dies, Another Injured in Accident While Filming Reel on Moving Bike on Dhule-Solapur Highway, Video Surfaces.
