A viral video on social media shows a woman being attacked and allegedly assaulted by a man in Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur after being ambushed. The 11-second video clip caught on camera shows a man attacking the girl all of a sudden while she was returning from the market in Kanpur. The viral clip shows the woman's mouth being blocked as the man pins her down to the ground before fleeing from the spot. After the incident came to light, local police said that the woman was pushed to the ground. In an official statement, the police said a case was registered under relevant sections. They also said that they are trying to identify the attacker with the help of CCTV installed under Trinetra Abhiyan. The police have also launched a manhunt to nab the attacker.
