In a shocking incident in Uttar Pradesh’s Moradabad, a junior engineer (JE) from the electricity department and his team were chased and beaten by villagers. The incident occurred in the village of Mahmoodpur Mafi, within the Mainather police station jurisdiction. The villagers were reportedly angry with frequent power cuts in the area. A video of the incident has gone viral. The police have registered an FIR against the attackers based on the JE's complaint and have arrested two people. Junior Engineer Jaiveer Singh, stationed at the Mahmoodpur power station, went out with his team to collect overdue payments. During a check in Mahmoodpur Mafi, some villagers surrounded the team. Initially, they verbally abused the JE and his colleagues, and then began assaulting them. The JE reported that he and his team tried to escape, but the attackers chased and beat them. The team was also attacked with bricks. A video of the incident has surfaced, showing several people assaulting the electricity department team. Upon receiving information about the incident, the Mainather police arrived at the scene, but the attackers had already fled.
