A man named John Hargreaves from New Jersey deliberately drove his SUV into a home and the offices of a municipal police department last week, announced the authorities on Friday. Both incidents took place on September 20 and no one was injured in the crashes, the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office said in a news release. However, at least one officer narrowly escaped being struck when the 34-year-old Hargreaves, of Belvidere, drove into the Independence Township police headquarters.
