Cricket to be Part of 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games, IOC Approves Proposal to Include Five New Sports for LA28
Cricket, which has a huge following in India and is rapidly expanding worldwide, is scheduled to make a comeback to the Olympics after competing just once in the 1900 Games.
Cricket has been approved by The International Olympic Committee executive board to be added to the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics along with four other sports on Monday. Two members voted against it but the IOC still approved the inclusion of cricket. The 5 total sports that are included in LA28 are Baseball/softball, cricket (T20), flag football, lacrosse (sixes) and squash.
