England start their ICC T20 World Cup 2024 preparations in a positive note as they beat Pakistan in the 1st T20I and take 1-0 lead in the series. Batting first, Phil Salt was dismissed early but Jos Buttler and Will Jacks stitched a solid partnership for England. Despite not getting the desired finish, England set a competitive total of 183/7 on the board. Chasing it, Pakistan started steady but lost way in the middle losing too many wickets and in the end despite efforts from Imad Wasim and Fakhar Zaman, it was not enough for the to cross the finishing line.
