The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) named Gautam Gambhir as the new head coach of the Indian Men's Cricket Team. BCCI secretary Jay Shah announced via social media. The name of Gautam Gambhir being the new head coach was in the air for a while now as Rahul Dravid told BCCI that T20 World Cup 2024 will be his last campaign as the head coach. Ahead of taking charge of his new head coach duties, Gautam Gambhir believes that, "if you're good you should be playing all the three formats. If you get injured, you go get recovered as simple as it gets. No top cricket player wants themselves to be labelled as white bowl bowlers or red ball bowlers. Injuries are parts of a sportsman's life." Gautam Gambhir Wants Ryan ten Doeschate in Team India’s Coaching Staff: Report.
