Messi made his home debut for PSG and he came really close to opening his goalscoring account for PSG in the first half but failed to find the back of the net. The match was eventually won by PSG who rode on a late strike by Mauro Icardi to win all three points and maintain a perfect record in Ligue 1 this season.
Argentine star Lionel Messi was displeased after being substituted during PSG's home game against Lyon in the 76th minute of the match. He refused to shake hands with manager Mauricio Pochettino while returning back to the dugout and appeared unhappy while being on the bench.
