Refugee Team Features in the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games Opening Ceremony, All Set To Compete Independently
The Refugee Paralympic Team (RPT) is all set to compete in Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games as they feature in the Opening Ceremony with flag bearer Ileana Rodriguez and the rest five refugees, who will be representing 82 million refugees in the world.
Earlier known as the Independent Paralympic Athletes Team, RPT has appeared in the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Opening Ceremony on Tuesday with its refugees who'll be looking forward to competing from August 24 to September 5, 2021. The Paralympic Games shared a picture of the team featuring in the event that includes flag bearer Ileana Rodriguez, Abbas Karimi, Shahrad Nasajpour and Alia Issa among the others.
