Coinbase successfully completed its first AI-to-AI crypto payment using USDC on the Base platform. Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong announced on X about the achievement and said using artificial intelligence agents in cryptocurrency payments could be instant, global, and free transactions.
Coinbase, a US-based crypto exchange platform, successfully completed the integration of artificial into digital currency. The platform completed its first-ever crypto payment between two AI agents. Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong posted on X announcing the achievement in a long-form article on X. The CEO said, "This week at CoinbaseDev we witnessed our first AI to AI crypto transaction." He said AI agents would get their wallets despite not getting their bank accounts. Brian Armstrong explained that these AI agents could use USDC on Base to transact with humans, merchants and other AIs.
