The American College of Pediatricians, in its recent statement, called out all the major medical associations of the United States to stop the promotion of specific therapies, medicines and surgeries for children and adolescences certain distress over their biological sex. The American College of Pediatricians further stated to these organisations to recommend comprehensive evaluations and therapies to identify and address the "underlying psychological co-morbidities and neurodiversity that often predispose to and accompany gender dysphoria. The organisation encouraged the physicians of these organisations to contact their leadership and urge them to use the now available evidence-based research.
