A female Uber driver has accused Tampa Bay Buccaneers Quarterback Jameis Winston of sexual assault on Tuesday. The woman is seeking damages for more than $75,000 in damages in the suit and has alleged that Winston grabbed her crotch. This happened in March 2016, during the drive-thru of a Mexican restaurant in the Phoenix area. As per the documents of the court, the suit was filed in Arizona. ā€œPlaintiff brings this action as much to underscore to the defendant the seriousness of his behaviour as to receive compensation for damages,ā€ the complaint stated.

The Uber driverā€™s lawyers said that Winston was seated on the passengerā€™s seat while driving thru Mexican restaurant. ā€œHe placed his fingers between her legs and pressed them firmly against her vagina over her yoga pants,ā€ said the lawyers. ā€œWhatā€™s up with that?ā€ she said. Ā Winston denied the allegation, but that did not stop the NFL from banning him for three matches for touching the driver in an inappropriate manner.

As per the driverā€™s lawyer, she picked up Winston at a club in Scottsdale, Arizona and one of his friends suggested him to sit in the front. ā€œShe is hot. You should sit in the front seat, Jameis,ā€ said one of his friends. She then texted her boyfriend and told him about getting molested and was obviously shaken up by the incident.

While apologizing to the woman Jameis Winston said that he should have never put himself into this positions. ā€œI should never have put myself in that situation," he said. All I can do is grow and learn from that. ... I've made a lot of positive changes since then," he said.
