PV Sindhu was the only Indian female athlete in the recent Forbes’ list of highest paid female athletes across the globe. As per the Forbes’ List the ace Indian shuttler, PV Sindhu, is on the 7th position. The list was published on Tuesday, and it was dominated by Tennis players majorly.

As per the Forbes’ list of highest paid female athletes, PV Sindhu’s yearly earnings were recorded at USD 8.5 million. Sindhu has gained prominence in her career in the last two years.

The star Indian badminton player won the silver medal at Rio Olympics 2016, after which her stock has only risen. Since then, she has slowly and gradually become the face of Indian badminton, overshadowing fellow mate Saina Nehwal.

Former retired race car driver Danica Patrick was the only other female athlete in the list, whose earnings were estimated at USD 7.5 million. Patrick was ranked 9th in the list.

Second on the list was Dane Caroline Wozniacki – Australian Open 2018 Winner. Her estimated earnings were recorded at USD 13 million. US Open Champion Sloane Stephens was third on the list with earnings listed at USD 11.2 million.

The list of highest-paid female athletes was won by Serena Williams. The tennis player was the top paid female athlete for the third consecutive year with her earnings recorded over USD 18 million.
