Gautam Gambhir is currently playing for Delhi in the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2018-19. However, on day 3 of the match against Himachal Pradesh, the left-hander could not complete his half-century. All thanks to the hilarious folly committed by Gambhir. So here's what happened. Dhruv Shorey on the other end asked Gambhir to take a couple of runs and the latter quite casually ran for a second but could not land his bat on time. In no time, Gautam Gambhir was making his way back to the pavilion on the score of 49. Now on Children’s Day that was yesterday, the left-hander posted a tweet where he took a jibe at himself for the silly run-out. He took to Twitter and wrote, “Anaiza to Aazeen: Didi, how did papa celebrate Children’s Day? Aazeen replied: Well, today in the Ranji Trophy match he got run out like a kid!!!! Papa: 🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈 @natashagambhir2 #ChildrensDay.”

Talking about the match going on at the Feroz Shah Kotla, Delhi, the hosts won the toss and elected to bat first. Delhi, in the first innings, made 317 runs. Dhruv Shorey was the highest scorer for the team in the first innings with 88 runs from 158 runs. Gautam Gambhir made 44 runs. Himachal Pradesh got out on 223 runs and in the second innings, Delhi declared the innings on 281 runs. As of now, HP is on the score of 119 runs.
