Mayank Agrawal (156) and Ajinkya Rahane (82) are on verge of reaching another landmark as the hosts have tightened their grip on the 1st India vs Bangladesh Test. India didn’t lose any wickets in the afternoon session and are batting at 303/3 at tea on Day 2. The home side have taken a lead of 153 runs and are still going strong. The two batsmen at the crease are Agrawal and Rahane, who will look to register their double-century and century in the last session of the day. Earlier in the day, India resumed their innings on 86/1. Cheteshwar Puajara was dismissed after scoring a century while the Indian skipper Virat Kohli faced a rare failure and was dismissed on a duck. Nevertheless, Rahane walked out to bat at number five and since then it’s a one-sided show. Agarwal went on to register his third Test ton while Rahane mustered his 21st Test half-century. Bangladesh won the toss in the first innings and elected to bat first. The pace troika of Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav and Mohammed Shami dismantled the opposition and bundled them out for just 150 runs. In reply, India have crossed the 300 run mark and will eye an even mammoth first innings total.
