Pacers have extended India’s dominance over Bangladesh on the third day of 1st India vs Bangladesh. At lunch, the Bangla Tigers were reeling at 60/4 with Mushfiqur Rahim (9) and Mahumudulah (6) being at the crease. The visitors are still trailing by 286 runs and their innings defeat looks set on the cards. The pace troika of Umesh Yadav, Mohammed Shami and Ishant Sharma never let the opposition to settle down and took wickets at regular intervals. In the preceding day, the Indian batsman continued their golden run on home soil and toiled the Bangladeshi bowlers. Opener Mayank Agarwal was the stand-out performer for the side as he mustered 243 runs and put India on the driver’s seat. Apart from him, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane and Ravindra Jadeja slammed fifties and completely knocked the Mominul Haque-led side out of the contest. Virat Kohli and men will aim to take the remaining six wickets as soon as possible in order to take an unassailable 1-0 lead in the series. The spin duo of Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja will play a massive role in the upcoming session as they will eye to capitalize on the start and rattle up the opposition’s lower order quickly.
