Historic Context
With this dismissal, Moondra became only the second Irish bowler in cricket history to secure a wicket with their maiden delivery in senior international cricket. The 21-year-old joins fellow opening-pacer Matthew Humphreys, who initially achieved the rare distinction during his debut against the Bangladesh in 2023. Humphreys cleaned up Bangladesh's Rishad Hossain with a near-perfect yorker, where the batter missed a mighty heave, and found the ball hit the leg-stump.
