Jimmy Neesham was left broken after New Zealand lost the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 final against England in the worst possible way. The narrow defeat – England won on count of scoring more boundaries – left New Zealand baffled as both sides had ended the game tied after full 100 overs were played and an additional super-over took place. But England, courtesy of hitting more boundaries lifted their maiden World Cup trophy, while New Zealand finished as runner-up for a second consecutive World Cup final. James Neesham Catch Video: Kiwi All-Rounder Takes a One-Hand Stunner to Dismiss Dinesh Karthik During IND vs NZ ICC CWC 2019 Semi Final Match.

Neesham produced a great all-rounder performance in New Zealand’s ride to the CWC 2019 final. The left-handed batsman scored 232 runs in eight innings, which included a near match-winning 97* against Pakistan to rescue his side from a tense situation. He also finished with 15 wickets from 10 games and had a five-wicket haul against Afghanistan.

In the final against England at Lord’s, Neesham took 3/43 and almost led New Zealand to a famous victory in CWC 2019 final. He then stepped out to bat alongside Martin Guptill in the Super Over and even smashed Archer for a six in the third delivery despite New Zealand eventually falling short.
