The Sunrisers Hyderabad made their way into the playoffs of the IPL 2019 but could not win the second Qualifier against Delhi Capitals and thus made an exit from the tournament. The team lost the game against DC by a couple of wickets and one ball to spare at the Vishakhapatnam Stadium in Andhra Pradesh. The Sunrisers Hyderabad for IPL 2019 is placed on the number four of the IPL 2019 points table. Now that Kane Williamson’s team has made an exit from IPL 2019, the team has headed home. DC beat SRH by 2 wickets.

SRH captain Kane Williamson also left for home for preparing for the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup which will begin from May 30 in England and Wales. Williamson shared a post on social media thanking the players, support staff and the fans for their unconditional support. The Delhi Capitals will now face the Chennai Super Kings in the playoff which will be played today at Dr. Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA–VDCA Cricket Stadium, in Vishakhapatnam. The winner of the Qualifier 2 will meet the Mumbai Indians in the finals of the IPL 2019 which will be played on May 12, 2019 in Hyderabad.
