Talking about the match, the Indians lost the second game by 146 runs. Mitchell Starc and Nathan Lyon both snapped three wickets each. Whereas, Josh Hazelwood and Pat Cummins snapped a couple of them. The visitors were chasing 287 runs and India had already lost four wickets on day 4. It was the seventh time that Nathan Lyon got the wicket of the Indian captain.
