Rishabh Pant has been in the news ever since his Test debut. First, it was for starting his Test career with a six and then for his stellar performance in the longer format of the game. Now, the wicket-keeper batsman has gotten past MS Dhoni’s record after scoring a blistering knock of 92 runs in the second test match against West Indies. Pant also became the only wicket-keeper to have been dismissed on the score of 92 on a couple of occasions. The 21-year-old still holds the record for having the maximum number of sixes in Tests 2018. So far in 5 matches and eight innings, Pant has hit 39 fours and 12 sixes. Kieron Powell comes on number two with 8 sixes from seven matches. Talking about Pant, the youngster missed his century on a couple of occasions. Pant looked brilliant on Day 3 of the Test match but was soon walking back to the pavilion.  However, for him, playing Test matches has been a great experience and his goal is to keep playing for a long time. “It has been a good experience for me playing Test cricket. The team is very helpful, everyone is helping me to grow in terms of batting and keeping. My goal is to keep playing for a long time for the country,” said Pant after the match.
