After winning the first T20I against West Indies by four wickets, the Men in Blue once again took on the same opponent in the second game at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground, Lauderhill, Florida. Rohit Sharma once again gave a blistering start to the team by scoring 67 runs from 51 balls. During his innings, six fours and three sixes and broke a couple of records during the game. The first record held by him was hitting the most number of sixes in the T20Is, as the Indian opener now has 107 sixes in the format with Chris Gayle having 105 maximums in his kitty. Sharma will remain at the top in these three T20I games as Gayle is not a part of the series and has been rested by the team management. In his second record,  Sharma broke the record of Virat Kohli for having the most number of the fifties in the shortest format of the game. Virat Kohli has so far scored 20 half-centuries in the game. Whereas, with the game today, Sharma has 21 half-centuries in his kitty.

After winning the toss, India elected to bat first and has so far lost four wickets at the score of 141 runs. As of now, India has Krunal Pandya and Manish Pandey both batting at the score of six runs. Virat Kohli contributed with 28 runs from 23 balls, whereas Sharma’s counterpart Shikhar Dhawan got out on 23 from 18. Rishabh Pant made way to the pavilion after scoring four runs from five balls.
