Shikhar Dhawan brought up his 15th ODI century against Pakistan in the Super Four round match of Asia Cup 2018. Dhawan's 114 runs innings was studded with 16 fours and two sixes. Though Dhawan's innings ended in an anti-climatic fashion with the explosive right handed batsman running himself out at 114 off 100balls, the 210 run partnership between him and Rohit Sharma ensured India is well on their way to victory against Pakistan. India vs Pakistan Asia Cup 2018 Live Score: Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan Punish PAK.

India's openers Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan also registered their 13th 100-run partnership and became the fourth pair with highest number of century partnerships in one day cricket. The duo also scored the highest opening stand for India against Pakistan in ODIs.

Dhawan's partner Rohit was also at his best though he was lucky to get two chances after Pakistani fielders dropped him twice.

Winning the toss, Pakistan decided to bat first and produced an improved batting performance, led by senior batsman Shoaib Malik, scoring 237 for 7 in a 'Super Four' encounter of the Asia Cup. Veteran Malik scored 78 off 90 balls and added an invaluable 107 runs for the fourth wicket with skipper Sarfraz Ahmed (44 off 66 balls) to enable Pakistan post a fighting total. The Pakistan innings could be segregated into three distinct parts. A slow start where India made inroads followed by solid middle-overs batting before failing to utilise the launch pad fully with Jasprit Bumrah (2/29 in 10 overs) being brilliant at the death.
