Shreyas Iyer complemented his good form with the bat against the West Indies with a debut appearance of Chahal TV. The young batsman showed great composure under pressure in both the ODIs he played in the Caribbean, compounding his comeback into the senior Indian cricket team after 18-months by finishing as the second-highest run-scorer in the series after skipper Virat Kohli. From playing Dumb Charas to discussing his food diet, Iyer revealed it all on the fun episode with teammate and interviewer Chahal following India's ODI series triumph. Yuzvendra Chahal Interviews Virat Kohli in Latest Episode of Chahal TV, Indian Skipper Reveals the Reason Behind His Dancing Moves.

Indian Players performing exceedingly well in a game make an appearance on Chahal TV and it seemed that after his consecutive half-century scores, adding to the two-century run partnerships he had with captain Kohli, Iyer’s turn had finally come to appear on the popular channel among Indian cricket fans. Iyer made 65 from just 41 deliveries and was involved in a vital 120-run stand with Kohli (114*) that steered India home in the 3rd ODI with 14 balls to spare during a tense 255-run target in 35 overs.

Shreyas Iyer Makes Debut on Chahal TV

“Enjoyed batting alongside Virat Kohli,” said the 24-year-old when asked how was the experience of batting alongside the Indian skipper in consecutive ODI games. Chahal also asked Iyer about batting in pressure situations to which the right-hander replied that “It’s very much fun just like the way we play dumb charades.”

“I love batting in pressure situations. When everyone in the dressing room is tensed and worried it is then I enjoy batting. It allows an excellent opportunity to bat well and change the course of the game,” said Iyer, whose innings of 65 comprised of 3 fours and 5 sixes. His technique against the spinners – Iyer hit three sixes against the West Indies spinners – gave India the control in a nervous run-chase after the visitors were reduced to 92/3 at one stage.

Iyer and Chahal also played Dumb Charades live on Chahal TV with the latter asking Iyer to explain his batting performance in the 3rd ODI in one phrase. Iyer had to recognize Chahal’s expression to describe his performance and he successfully did so.

Meanwhile, India clinched the three-match ODI series 2-0 to add to their accomplishment of clean-sweeping the T20I series. The opening ODI was abandoned due to irregular rain and poor pitch conditions before India beat West Indies in the second game by 59 runs in a rain-curtailed game. India sealed the ODI series 2-0 with a 6-wicket victory in the third ODI game.
