After having a dream finish in the Test Series by 2-0 against West Indies, the Indian players are gearing up for the five-match ODI series. The Indian team in the Test match delivered an all-around performance and every player chipped in with runs or wickets. Virat Kohli continued to be in the best of his form and even went on to overtake Misbah-Ul-Haq to be the all-time highest scoring Asian captain in Tests. In five Test matches, Virat scored 594 runs and scored a century in the first match which was held at Rajkot. Now Virat Kohli could surpass Sachin Tendulkar’s record to become the most run-scorer by an Indian against the West Indies.

Virat Kohli just needs 187 runs to overtake the Master Blaster who has played 39 ODIs against West Indies and has scored 1573 runs with an average of 52.73. Sachin Tendulkar has made four centuries and eleven half-centuries.  Virat Kohli has played 27 ODIs so far and has scored 1387 runs at an average of 60.30 including four centuries and nine half-centuries. India vs West Indies 2018 ODIs: Umesh Yadav Replaces Injured Shardul Thakur for a Couple of Games.
