Ahead of the India vs West Indies 2019 1st ODI, the Indian skipper shared a video on Instagram revealing how he bettered his own skills in a weight lifting exercise over the years. In the video, Kohli is seen undertaking a weight lifting exercise snatch. There are two videos shared by the Indian cricketer. One video shows him undertaking the exercise three years ago and the other video shows him doing the same exercise now. Kohli pointed out how he improved and learnt the technique over three years. Regular work on it and constantly focusing on technique has improved my mobility and full body strength too. So always be patient with learning something new. Stay fit stay healthy”, the 30-year-old wrote along with the post.

Kohli is a fitness freak and his commitment to exercise and fitness is applauded by all. Recently, Former Strength and Conditioning Coach Shankar Basu said that Kohli is a fitness freak and he never had a single cheat in last two years.

Meanwhile, India and West Indies will play the first ODI on Thursday at Providence Stadium, Guyana. The match will start from 7 PM (IST). India defeated the hosts Caribbean side in the three-match T20 series 3-0. The series saw two young bowlers Navdeep Saini and Deepak Chahar coming to limelight by clinching player of the match award. The ODI series can also be a farewell to legendary West Indian batsman Chris Gayle who had spoken about his possible retirement from ODI cricket after the series.
