The wait is finally over as Virat Kohli's wax statue at the Madame Tussauds in Delhi has been unveiled. Over 200 craftsmen worked on the statue to get the right look of the Indian captain. The statue of Virat strike a dynamic pose in the blue jersey and looks ready to bat.  Virat Kohli too shared a video yesterday where he said that he was extremely excited about the statue being unveiled.

"I sincerely appreciate the efforts and incredible work undergone in making my figure. Thanks to Madame Tussauds for choosing me for this lifetime experience. I am grateful to my fans for their love and support.

"This experience is going to be stored in the fond memories of my life...now waiting to see the fan reactions," Kohli said in a statement issued by Madame Tussauds.

Anshul Jain, General Manager and Director, Merlin Entertainments India Pvt. Ltd., said, "Virat is today's cricket star and has a huge fan following across the globe. The other sporting icons at the Madame Tussauds include Lionel Messi, Kapil Dev and Sachin Tendulkar. Kohli has a long list of achievements. Only today, he is named amongst the world's highest-paid athletes. Kohli, the only sportsperson from India to be featured in the list, is ranked 83rd with earnings of USD 24 million. "Yet like the Indian cricket mega-stars who have come before him, Kohli's big payday comes off the pitch" where he's partnered with top brands such as Puma, Pepsi, Audi and Oakley, Forbes said.
