During one of the games, the players failed to pass ones and twos to de Jong. But the new recruit of Barcelona does not get the ball back. Since Frenkie de Jong is relatively new, so it is obvious that he and his teammates might take a little time to get accustomed to each other. With the passage of time, things will be back on track and especially after Lionel Messi makes a comeback. Ahead of joining Barcelona, de Jong had said, "I'm happy to be able to play with Messi, who I have always followed,” De Jong said after his unveiling this summer. “Now my idol will be my teammate." De Jong has not yet gotten an opportunity to rub shoulder with Messi who was away from the action for a month after Copra America 2019. Talking about the club’s first La Liga 2019 match, the team will play against Athletic Bilbao at the San Mamés Stadium in Spain.
