The Copa America 2019 is at its business end as Brazil took on Paraguay in the quarterfinals of Arena do Gremio. It was Brazil who walked away with a 4-3 win over Paraguay on penalties. The entire game, there was no goal scored by either side despite the fact that seven minutes were added to the match. With 88 per cent accuracy against their opponents, needless to say, that Brazil turned out to be a better outfit as compared to Paraguay. Though Dani Alves’ team did miss out on a few chances ahead of the penalties being added to the game. Ahead of the penalty, Gabriel Jesus missed a shot but made up for the same during the penalties. It was during the fourth shot that Brazil handed over a defeat to Paraguay. Also, a clumsy tackle from Paraguay’s Fabian Balbuena proved to be fatal for the team in the second half as he was handed over a red card during the game.

Talking about the penalties at the end of the game, Brazil made four and missed one of their penalties, Paraguay missed two. It the end it was Gabriel Jesus who pulled off a stunner with the last stroke and led the team to a 4-3 victory. It would be Venezuela taking on Lionel Messi's Argentina in the quarter-finals of the Copa America 2019.
