Jamshedpur FC’s chances of making it to the play-off stages are not entirely in their hands. Results of games featuring Mumbai City FC and North East United FC will shape Jamshedpur’s future but they can do their bit by winning their remaining games. They travel to the home of defending champions Chennaiyin FC next who have won just twice all season. In what has been a terrible defence of the ISL trophy, John Gregory’s side has played sub-standard football but hope to get in shape just before the crucial AFC Cup.

Chennaiyin FC will be without star man Gregory Wilson who serves a one-match suspension following his fourth yellow card of the campaign. The winger is a livewire on the field for the blues and his absence will mean a slight change in strategy. Raphael Augusto is likely to push forward and join Jeje Lalpekhlua in the attack. The duo is capable of scoring against any side if they get their act together despite being off-colour throughout the campaign. CK Vineeth who is on loan from Kerala Blasters should play as a winger to create chances for his team from out wide.

In a must-win game, Jamshedpur FC will go hell for leather with a strong attack-minded team. The likes of Sergio Cidoncha, Sumeet Passi and Farukh Choudhary become key for their team who are in need of an early goal to calm their nerves. Mario Arques and Memo will sit back and dictate the tempo of the game. They have effectively shielded the backline and Memo, in particular, has also moved forward in attack when his team is playing well. Robin Gurung and Augustin Fernandes need to keep their concentration level high as Chennaiyin can pick the visitors on a counter with their pacey forward line.

Chennaiyin FC has forgotten what it is like winning games at home and looks like the losing streak could continue this evening against Jamshedpur FC.
