Barcelona centre-back Gerard Pique is known for his cheeky comments. This time his comments are aimed at Cristiano Ronaldo, who moved to Juventus from Real Madrid after 9 years. Ronaldo was reportedly signed by the Italian giant for €100 million (R1.64 billion) in July. Pique feels that Real Madrid would do better without CR7 being around.

While speaking to Daily Mail, Pique said, “They are a team who work well. The loss of Ronaldo is important, they will be more a team than a group of individuals.” Pique also refuted the rumours of him moving to Manchester United. He said, “I don't think so. I'm very happy here. It's my home, with my family and friends, and playing for the club I always dreamed to play, and I hope to win more titles here.”

Talking about Ronaldo, he is yet to score a goal for Juventus. He missed a goal while playing against Bianconeri and looked frustrated. Explaining his gesture, Massimiliano Allegri said, “He is not angry at all, he smiled because these things happen. Ronaldo has now gone two games without a goal in Serie A, but his coach insisted there is nothing to worry about. It's only two weeks that he's with us. He's intelligent and understands that Italian football is different to that in Spain. Today, he played well also in defence, and everyone is waiting for his first goal. I'm happy with how he's fitting in, he is a very humble lad.

Juventus started off well at the Serie A tournament by winning the first two matches and leads the points table with. Juventus have 6 points in their kitty and the team will play Parma on Saturday.
