Rajasthan Royals (RR) will don special pink coloured jersey instead of usual blue when they square off against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on May 11, Friday. Royals will wear the pink jersey to raise awareness about early cancer screening. As part of the Rajasthan Royals' Cancer out campaign, skipper Ajinkya Rahane along with his team mates Heinrich Klaasen, Krishnappa Gowtham and Mahipal Lomror got themselves screened in an urge to promote early cancer screening, reports IANSIPL 2018 Points Table

"As a player I think this initiative is a small but crucial step towards a direction of cancer free society and I hope that we perform to the best of our ability to raise as much awareness as we can," Rahane said in a statement. The jersey besides the pink will have teal and Burgundy colours as well. While pink is for breast cancer, burgundy is for oral cancer and teal is for cervical cancer.

“I feel privileged to be part of such a noble initiative. Cancer screening leads to early detection, hence we will appeal to one and all to make screenings a part of their annual health check ups,” said Krishnappa Gowtham who got himself screened for an oral cancer.

Meanwhile, Royals got back to winning ways with a 15-run win over Kings XI Punjab (KXIP). Following the victory, RR moved to sixth position on the points table from eighth. It was must-win game for RR and it helped them stay contention for the playoffs.
