Have you ever heard about an Indian athlete breaking 27 records in a single tournament? Don’t wonder, it is true now. Indian weightlifter Jeremy Lalrinnunga broke 27 international and national records in ongoing Qatar International Cup 2019. Jeremy Lalrinnunga is a weight-lifter who won a silver medal in the men’s 67 kg event. SAI media informed about Raltej Jeremy’s achievements on their official Twitter account. Tagging Youth Affairs & Sports minister Kiren Rejiju, Sports Authority of India shared a photo while congratulating him for his achievements. “Many congratulations to #TOPSAthlete @raltejeremy for breaking 27 national & international records at the #QatarInternationalCup (12 international records & 15 national records) & winning the silver medal in men's 67kg category with the total lift of 306kg”, SAI media wrote along with the photo. Minister of State (Independent Charge) Youth Affairs & Sports also praised him for his achievements. "India's MinYes @anandmahindra ji, this young Mizo boy @raltejeremy is very much in my radar. He is a potential future superstar in the weightlifting! Jeremy, who hails from Aizawl district of Mizoram, has also won a gold medal in boys' 62 kg category weightlifting at 2018 youth Olympics Games.  He had also won the medal in Buenos Aires 62kg category.
