We have all heard the phrase "adding insult to injury", but poking fun at someone's actual injury is something that very few of us can even imagine of doing. But trust the former South African cricketer Jonty Rhodes, one of the greatest fielders the game has seen, to not just pull off an impossible catch, but also a dig at a rather improbable time. Matthew Hayden, the former Australian opening batsman, recently suffered a neck injury and serious scar on his forehead while surfing at the weekend. But Jonty Rhodes seemed to try and get some good cheer out of Hayden, by commenting on his photo asking, "Is that a map of The Tamil Nadu coast u are wearing on you forehead?(sic)". Incredible Outpouring of Condolences Unique to Indian Cricket: Jonty Rhodes.

First have a look at the image shared by injured Matthew Hayden on his instagram account, where he actually looks grim, far from the imposing presence he was during his playing days.

Hayden played for the Chennai Super Kings franchise in the Indian Premier League under the captaincy of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Rhodes dig at Hayden's injury can be seen in that context. Rhodes even applauded Hayden's "commitment" to his former club and also said in the tweet "Real commitment buddy!!!!Some of us softies take the easy option and just get tattoos!!" One has to say that Jonty Rhodes' love for India and its geography is immense. Jonty Rhodes even named his daughter 'India', and has often expressed his love for the country.
