Fans were left guessing after former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly launched a scathing attack on a former cricketer on Twitter. Ganguly called the alleged cricketer a ‘negative attention seeker’ in his tweet right after India had beaten Australia by 36 runs to register their second victory in ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. IND beat AUS by 36 runs.

Ganguly, who was part of the commentary team for the India Australia match tweeted, “His comments on Twitter is a bit like his batting meaningless and and lack of ideas .. may be just an attention the negative way,” sparking a huge guessing game on Twitter.

The former Indian cricketer, however, refrained from taking any names. But this could not stop from the fans guessing who was their favourite ‘Dada’ targeting in his scathing tweet.

Among the many guesses, some fans noted that Ganguly might have hinted towards the former Indian cricketer and fellow ICC commentator Sanjay Manjrekar.

Don't Mess With Dada, Sanjay!

Did Sourav Ganguly Mean Sanjay Manjrekar?

Sanjay Manjrekar For Sure

The reason for such a link up by the fans may well be for a tweet Manjrekar had posted a couple of hours before Ganguly. “Always happy when Sourav Ganguly is in commentary. You get to relax not just in between commentary stints but during it too,” the former Mumbai player had said in his tweet.

Some others, however, felt that the attack was on ex-England captain Micheal Vaughan, who is well known for his controversial statements and equally contentious opinions on social media.

Fans will keep guessing but it is only Dada, who can reveal the exact 'batsman' he was aiming at.
