Snaps of the 17 Grand Slam winner have surfaced online where he was seen reading the newspaper. It is needless to say that the pictures went viral. Nadal was seated near the emergency exit row, where he could get an extra legroom. Check out the snap here.

Twitterati also hailed his simplicity and posted a few tweets. “Rafa flying economy class from Barcelona to Mallorca with a cousin yesterday per this article. He slept most of the flight. Must’ve subsequently jumped on a flight to Ibiza,” read a tweet.

This netizen even said that you wouldn’t find Roger Federer in the economy class.

“Just imagining that...getting comfy In your seat and then Rafa plonks his famoos azz next to you! 😱,” read another post.

“New definition for humility,” read another tweet.

Nadal lost to Djokovic by 6-4, 3-6, 7-6,3-6 and 10-8. Recently, Nadal posted a message for his followers and the Serbian on social media. “A little message to all my followers. Thanks for the support during Wimbledon. It could not be and now just congratulate the champion @DjokerNole I already back at home and now I'll take a vacation before I start preparing the American tour,” read his tweet.
