Mark William Calaway, ring name The Undertaker, celebrates his birthday on March 24, and this Saturday the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) wrestler will turn 53. The Undertaker is not only famous in the United States but is revered worldwide for his skill, character and mystic persona in the WWE; not to forget that The Dead Man has a huge fan following in India too.

The Undertaker is also known to make in-ring appearances out-of-nowhere and hitting his opponents with his signature move – Chokeslam. The Undertaker has made appearances in the ring when the WWE universe has expected the least from him to do. Well, who doesn’t remember the popular myth, the 90s’ era children used to believe that he indeed has 7 lives!

A WWE legend, The Undertaker was invincible at Wrestlemania – WWE’s flagship event – for nearly two decades. Known for his ‘Streak’, The Undertaker didn’t lose a single match at Wrestlemania for 20 years. It was Brock Lesnar who ended his winning run at The Show of Shows, at Wrestlemania 30, in the year 2014.

It remains to be one of the most shocking results in the WWE history! However, he did win a couple of other matches at Wrestlemania in later years, with another defeat at Wrestlemania 33. The ending of the match saw The Undertaker virtually ending his WWE in-ring career.

Watch highlights of The Undertaker’s matches at Wrestlemania in WWE history:

With The Undertaker in the twilight of his career, he started making sporadic appearances in the WWE. He made a return to WWE this year at Monday Night Raw episode where it was celebrating its 25th anniversary. His surprised return raised many eyebrows and there were speculations that he might have one more match before he draws curtains on his illustrious career.

Recently, another WWE superstar, John Cena dished out a challenge to The Undertaker. The 16-time World Champion challenged The Undertaker to face him in a match at Wrestlemania 34. The WWE universe has been yearning for this ‘dream match’ for quite a long time now.

If at all it happens, it would be one of the momentous matches in WWE history. We all hope to see The Dead Man return to the ring at Wrestlemania and see him fight for one-more-time! For now, we wish The Undertaker a happy and healthy 53rd birthday!
