OnePlus, a popular Chinese smartphone maker has officially announced that it has rescheduled the launch of its most awaited OnePlus 6T to October 29. The company has shifted the launch event of its forthcoming flagship model from October 30, which was slated to happen the very next day in New York. The company confirmed the same by posting a dedicated post on the official OnePlus forums and explained the reason for the shift. The company claimed that October 30, the launch date of OnePlus 6T was selected to give maximum number of reach to the audience. However, Apple recently announced that it will also be hosting a launch event on October 30, the same day when OnePlus was slated to launch the ‘T’ model of OnePlus 6 in New York. This is the reason company decided to shift the launch event to October 29 so that the event could get the desired time as well as attention from the audience.

The company also mentioned that they have validated several honest and thoughtful feedback regarding the same and came to the conclusion to shift the launch event. The Chinese smartphone making company also considered that the OnePlus 6T event would be overshadowed by the Apple’s event, which is why the company finally took the decision to change the launch date. The smartphone maker also specified that it would cover all the costs involved in changing the plan for anyone who still will be attending the event. The company specified that it will be providing any extra payment for moving flights, hotel bookings as well as other arrangements.

The company has shifted the OnePlus 6 New York Launch event only. Rest of the events will be carried out as scheduled. The company will also be launching the smartphone on October 30 in New Delhi and the first sale for the device will commence on November 2 exclusively via Amazon India.
