New Delhi, April 2: Online fraud and scammers are back, and this time they are targeting Gmail and Yahoo users with a "Mystery Box" email scam. There are some malicious emails that are using the popular Shein online shopping brand to trick people into handing over their personal details.

As per a report of Mirror, the latest message, which has begun landing in inboxes, uses the tactic of provoking curiosity to get people to click on dangerous links. When the email is opened, it suggests that users have been selected to receive a "mystery SHIEN box". The emails users receive appear to be a common phishing scam. However, this is simply an attempt to trick users into providing sensitive information, such as usernames, passwords, and even bank account details to the scammers behind the scheme. AI Voice Cloning Scam: Tamil Nadu Police Warn People Against Fraudsters Using Artificial Intelligence-Based Voice Cloning.

To trick people into clicking on harmful links and giving away personal information, this method is frequently used in phishing attacks. However, no genuine reward or prize comes with this proposal. It is actually just an attempt to get sensitive data from the victims. If someone fell for it and gave what was asked for, they would be exposing their identity to theft as well as falling victim to financial scams among other malicious activities.

Beware of Scam Emails Offering "Mystery Boxes"
