Honor, the sub-brand of Huawei will be officially launching the new Honor 9X smartphone tomorrow in the Indian market. To be introduced as a replacement for Honor 8X, the smartphone will sport a 16MP pop-up selfie camera, a 48MP triple camera, 4000 mAh battery, 128GB of internal storage and much more. Slated to be launched on January 14, the company has been teasing the smartphone on Flipkart. Moreover, the e-commerce giant has also created a microsite for the smartphone, revealing crucial details about the phone. As a reminder, the Honor 9X was revealed in China last year along with Honor 9X Pro. Now, the phone maker is ready to launch the device in India. On the specifications front, the phone gets a 6.59-inch FHD+ display with a resolution of 1080x2340 pixels. Under the hood, the device will pack an octa-core chipset - HiSilicon Kirin 810 SoC, which will be mated with up to 6GB of RAM. The smartphone is likely to be offered in three options - 4GB RAM + 64GB storage, 6GB RAM + 64GB storage & 6GB RAM + 128GB storage. For photography, the phone will be equipped with a 16MP pop-up shooter for selfies and video calls. The phone will also carry a triple camera module at the back comprising of a 48MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP Super wide-angle camera with 120-degree field-of-view and a 2MP depth sensor. The device will be fuelled with a massive 4,000 mAh battery. The connectivity options of the phone will include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Apart from these features, the phone will also sport a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security purposes. The company will be revealing the prices for the smartphone tomorrow. However, the costs for the device are likely to be in-line with the China-spec model. The base variant of Honor 9X with 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage is priced at CNY 1,399 (around Rs 14,000), while the bigger variant with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage was introduced at a price point of CNY 1,599 (approximately Rs 16,500). The top-of-the-line variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage is priced at CNY 1,899 (around Rs 19,600).
