Motorola, a Lenovo-owned company has officially announced that it will be showcasing the Moto G6 lineup at an event in Brazil on April 19. The company has also released an updated camera app ahead of the launch of the smartphones which is available on Google Play Store. The application now comes with 3 options - Photo, Video and Mode Select. The smartphone making company will not only be focusing on hardware updates but also will aim to spruce the camera as well as software updates. With the increasing demand for affordable smartphones, the upcoming Moto G6 series will take over from the current generation of Moto G5S range of smartphones. Talking about the new Moto G6 Play, the smartphone is likely to be the most affordable smartphone to come loaded with an HD+ IPS LCD panel, a Snapdragon 427 SoC, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage capacity. Moreover, a hand on video of the smartphone also emerged on the internet revealing the design and overall appeal. It will also get 13 MP primary shooter and a 5 MP secondary camera for selfies. Moto G6 smartphone, on the other hand, is expected to feature a 5.7-inch full HD+ display with 1080X2160 pixel resolution and aspect ratio of 18:9. Under the hood, the variant will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC which will be mated to 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage capacity. For photography, the device will be equipped with a dual rear camera module featuring 12-MP primary sensor and a 5MP secondary sensor. The smartphone will get a 16MPsensor at the front for selfies. Moto G6 Plus will be the most premium model from the upcoming Motorola range which is speculated to carry a 5.93-inch full HD+ IPS display panel with 1080x2160 pixels resolution. The main highlights of the smartphone are likely to be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC, 6GB RAM, 64GB of internal storage, 3200mAh battery. Lastly, the prices and availability of the smartphones are expected to be revealed at the launch event itself. However, all the three variants are expected to be slightly premium than the current models which will be in the range of $199 to $249.
