Reliance Jio will be starting its sale for the JioPhone 2 devices on August 16. The sale will initiate by 12 pm and will last till the stocks remain. Priced at Rs 2,999, the Jio Phone 2 features a QWERTY keypad and supports applications like WhatsApp, Facebook, YouTube and Google Maps. The sale will be available only on Jio.com, whereas during the sale, Jio also offers various data plans at affordable prices. For Rs 49, users can get 1 GB data with 28 days validity accompanied by free voice calls and 50 SMS. Recharge plan worth Rs 99, offers 14 GB of data, 300 SMS, free voice calls with a validity of 28 days. Coming to the specifications, Jio Phone comes with 2.4-inch QVGA display. Powering the device the is the KAI OS paired with 512MB RAM and 4GB internal storage expandable up to 128 GB via microSD card. The phone also features a 2,000 mAh battery. As for the camera, the phone sports a 2MP rear camera sensor and at the front it has a VGA camera sensor. On the connectivity side, the phone includes VoLTE, VoWiFi, NFC, GPS, Bluetooth and FM radio.
